1. Re: Exporting video from Premiere 2 Encore... change video in Premiere... Encore does not reflect change
Steve Liles Aug 18, 2010 5:42 AM (in response to David Zeno)Don't export it to Encore, open up AME and render your changes there and then import your new timeline from your already created Encore and then just point to the new imported timeline.

2. Re: Exporting video from Premiere 2 Encore... change video in Premiere... Encore does not reflect change
Colin Brougham Aug 18, 2010 5:44 AM (in response to David Zeno)What do you mean by "exported to Encore?" Did you encode an M2V file from Premiere, or did you use Dynamic Link to send the PPro sequence to Encore?
If it's the former, open your original Encore project, select the imported M2V asset, and right-click on it to select Replace Asset. Navigate to the new encode and select it.
If it's the latter, you don't need to do anything... unless you already transcoded the sequence in Encore. If you did, right-click the sequence in the Encore project panel and select Revert to Original.

4. Re: Exporting video from Premiere 2 Encore... change video in Premiere... Encore does not reflect change
David Zeno Aug 18, 2010 6:48 AM (in response to Colin Brougham)Hi Colin,
I have all my .mov movie files on the time line, each one after one another,
with simple faded between each one.I went to the File menu and chose : Adobe Dynamic Link -> Send To Encore.
That's how I did it, I was assuming this was the correct way to do it. I tried the trick in your second suggestion and it
worked like a charm ! ( Revert To Original ) ... wow ! ... Encore showed me my changes when I played the video back.
Amazing !
Thank you !
Dave.

5. Re: Exporting video from Premiere 2 Encore... change video in Premiere... Encore does not reflect change
David Zeno Aug 18, 2010 6:51 AM (in response to Steve Liles)Hi Steve,
So you are suggesting rendering the video file to say .mp4 format, and then using that final footage in Encore ? I've never thought of
doing that, but this would break the chain I'm guessing, but I will try this on a small test project just so I can say I've tried this technique.
Colin's suggest did work for me though, exactly what I wanted. I thank you for your input.
Dave.

6. Re: Exporting video from Premiere 2 Encore... change video in Premiere... Encore does not reflect change
Colin Brougham Aug 18, 2010 6:52 AM (in response to David Zeno)Cool, glad you got it worked out. Anytime you DL a Premiere Pro sequence to Encore and transcode it there, Encore will point at the transcoded file instead of the original sequence. That's why you need to execute the Revert to Original command. Usually, I'll wait to transcode until the very last step, just so I know that everything is good with the edit before committing it to an encode. No issue doing it as you did; it just saves the encoding time, if anything.

7. Re: Exporting video from Premiere 2 Encore... change video in Premiere... Encore does not reflect change
Steve Liles Aug 18, 2010 7:12 AM (in response to Colin Brougham)Hi Dave, To be honest Colin's way is the correct way to do it and it has worked so you should probably do it that way. I just like to
take the full control back so if I do make changes I like to give it another version number and then match that version number in my
new saved Encore project taken from the original. It is also the very last thing I do as well so I just find that workflow means I
control every asset and version but no doubt about it Colin's way is the correct method and the one that allows all
changes within Adobe to reflect through. Cheers, Steve.
