DataGrids and Inline Components

How can I access information from one cell in a DataGrid in an adjacent cell?

I have two columns, A and B. Each has an inline itemRenderer custom component of a DropDownList. Once the user selects an item from a list in column A, the list in column B (on the same row) pulls info from a database accordingly. The user then selects something from that list and the info will eventually be updated to the database.

So the DropDownList in column B needs to be populated according to whats selected in the DropDownList in column A and each row needs to be handled independently.
