Harm Millaard Aug 25, 2010 3:06 AM (in response to Powered by Design)Likely you need to reactivate Windows and maybe other software, because there have been significant changes in your hardware setup. Your data will be OK, but the question is whether the changes in hardware will render some programs useless without reactivation. I don't know to which applications this may apply, but apart from Windows, think of the Minnetonka Surcode plug-in and maybe others, so be warned and be prepared for that.

i wouldnt do it even for a get on the internet computer.
always a fresh install.
lastly i would never build a new system and resue the old OS drive as an OS drive.
might be fine for other things...
