Are you installing FB4 standalone, or FB4 Plug-in?

Also, are you on Mac or Win?

I am installing FB4 standalone on windows 7.

The troubleshooting matrix was of no help.

Here's what I would try next:

- Download the CS5 Clean Tool (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs5clean.html) and run it to clean up any old FB4 entries.

- Reboot

- Install latest critical updates from Windows Update

- Download the latest version of Adobe AIR, and install it (http://get.adobe.com/air/)

- Try installing FB4 again.

The error you're getting is with the Adobe Help installation, that runs as an AIR app, so that's why I suggest you try installing AIR on its own first, as a workaround.

I tried running CS5 clean up tool and installing AIR but that too could not solve the problem. I got the same error.

I have installed adobe help by explicitly double clicking AdobeHelp.air, and the help installed. I suppose that this will serve my purpose.
