1. Re: Color label incompatibility between LR3 and Bridge CS5
Lee Jay-ZyZk56 Sep 9, 2010 7:12 PM (in response to deedeecz)Color labels are just convenient ways to assign a word to an image in the "Label" field, and color label filters are just a convenient way to search for that work in the field. So, I'd say most likely "yes" since the words you are assigning are most likely different (green and verde, in English and Spanish, for example).

b_gossweiler Sep 9, 2010 7:14 PM (in response to deedeecz)Color labels are just words (strings) assigned to the photos, and if you use different laguages, those don't match. You can build your own Color Label Set in LR where you enter the words assigned by bridge to the different colors (Menu Metadata/Color Label Set/Edit). Then choose this color label set in LR and you'll get the colors.
LR shows white if it cannot assign the "word" in the photo to a color in the active color label set. You can see the "word" assigned to the photo in the metadata panel ("Label") or all of them in the metadata filter.

deedeecz Sep 9, 2010 7:35 PM (in response to b_gossweiler)Great! Many thanks! BTW, is there a way to automate the "synchronize folder"command? What I mean is when I rate with stars in Bridge or delete images there, I have to remember to synchronize that folder every time in LR for it to pick up the changes.
