1. Re: Import DPX Files Workflow?
SteveHoeg Sep 15, 2010 5:40 PM (in response to Bill Wood)It sounds to me like you are trying to import the DPX files individually instead of as a single clip of the combined sequence of stills. At the bottom of the the import dialog, check the "Numbered Stills" checkbox and import the first still in the sequence. Be sure to have updated to 5.0.2 for DPX playback improvements to allow previewing up to 2k DPX files in realtime.

Bill Wood Sep 16, 2010 6:11 AM (in response to SteveHoeg)Steve - Thanks for the tip! I was trying to Import my DPX files from the Media Browser. The Import function there does NOT have the numbered still check box. I had to do the Import from the Project window. That has the numbered stills check box and other options. It is very quick and acts more like Final Cut Pro 7 with the Glue Tools Cineon/DPX plugin does. - Bill

Bill Wood Sep 16, 2010 6:28 AM (in response to Colin Brougham)Colin - Tell me how you brought up that sub menu. All I get are two selections: Import and Open in Source Window. I am using Win7-64 instead of OS10.6. Could that be the cause of the difference? - Bill

Colin Brougham Sep 16, 2010 6:37 AM (in response to Bill Wood)That screen shot is from Windows 7, as well. With the Media Browser panel forward (e.g. highlighted with the yellow border), just click on the flyout menu--or as I call it, the "stack o' pancakes." It's the button indicated by the top arrow. You'll see it if you look closely...
