Hey,

I am using captivate 4 since last 3 months and doing screen capture with it. But 2 days ago when I was doing a screen capture it was working fine and after I was done with the recording, I pressed END key to end the screen capture session,  I got this error message after that.

http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/2016/screencaptureerror.jpg

After this error message captivate shuts down on itself. And also the screen capture does not record.

Any help?

Hi There,

Are you creating a new project with recording? OR Are you trying to do additional recording?

Hi There,

Please follow these steps:

1. Create a new project of exactly same width and height as your older project.

2. Copy all the slides from your older project and paste them into your new project.

3. Save your new project and try additional recording.

Do let us know whether this resolves your issue...

Hi there

Sorry, but the bad news (for you, anyway) is that it's not likely to be fixed. Adobe isn't likely to create any patches for Captivate 4 because they have totally re-written Captivate and released version 5. And since then, they have released version 5.5. So there are two chances it will be fixed in version 4. Slim and None.

The "fix" (if you will) is to upgrade to Captivate 5.5.

Cheers... Rick
