I bought a Sony PRS505 ebook reader second hand.  When I try to download an Adobe EPUP format ebook I get the error message:

This ebook cannot be transferred because the reader is authorised     to another user.

How do I get this de-authorised?

I guess the previous owner must do it but does anyone have simple instructions for how to do this?

Thanks

With the Reader attached and showing in ADE, press Ctrl-Shift-E.  This will bring up the device deactivation dialog.  Deactivate the device, unplug it and replug it.  ADE should then bring up the device activation wizard.
