RH8 in IE8 - Book opening but not closing

I have a project with a number of merged projects, merged in the TOC as "books."  When I open the last merged project in the TOC, then click on a topic, I can't then collapse the project and move to another.  I can switch between topics as long as I stay within that merged project, but I can't expand another book.

I have a few topics that are under the master project, and I can click on them and read them, but I still can't collapse the open project.

All the other projects behave normally.

Any suggestions?  Please?

You don't say if this something that was working and has broken or something that you are trying to do for the first time.

Does it work in Firefox or is it broken there too?

Does the problem go away if you move the last project up the list in the parent TOC?

Does the problem stay with that book no matter where it is?

Does it always affect the last project no matter which one it is?

Great questions, thank you, Peter.

The problem went away when I moved the last project up in the parent TOC. The new position is better, in fact.

Just as an FYI, it also happened in Firefox, whatever it was.

Thanks!
