With the cursor in the paragraph, choose span columns from the paragraph panel menu.
The rest is pretty intuitive.

Create a new style for the paragraph
go to the Span/Split columns area of the paragraph style
Choose Span 3 columns (or span all)

It's "Span Columns" on the little options button for the Paragraph panel.
