Weird frame shifts in PDF file

Things have been very stable for me in general -- OS X, ID CS5 version 7.03, all up to date. Happy as anything.

But suddenly on one article I'm working on, when I make a PDF file, two text frames (on page 944) are shifted WAY to the left (and mostly off the page), and one text frame on page 945 is shifted way to the right. Any idea what's going on? I've tried High Quality Print and Web Optimized PDF settings as an experiment, and that seems to make no difference.

      Here are the files:

For what it's worth, if I add a page ahead of these two, the frames go in the other direction. In other words, they're being pushed out away from the spine. Copying their contents into newly drawn frames didn't help, nor did grouping the objects that move with other objects on the page that aren't moving (only these three objects move, not the objects they're grouped with). How bizarre.

Well, I seem to have solved the problem -- if I delete the figures (which are PDF files), the text frames behave normally. If I put them back, the text frames behave strangely. I changed the "Arrange" order to bring the PDF files to the Front, and the problem is solved. Something in those PDF files is screwing with the coordinates of everything drawn after them.

Ah well, if anyone else gets this kind of behavior, try this.
