RodneyA Oct 18, 2010 8:03 PM (in response to RodneyA)For what it's worth, if I add a page ahead of these two, the frames go in the other direction. In other words, they're being pushed out away from the spine. Copying their contents into newly drawn frames didn't help, nor did grouping the objects that move with other objects on the page that aren't moving (only these three objects move, not the objects they're grouped with). How bizarre.

RodneyA Oct 18, 2010 8:15 PM (in response to RodneyA)Well, I seem to have solved the problem -- if I delete the figures (which are PDF files), the text frames behave normally. If I put them back, the text frames behave strangely. I changed the "Arrange" order to bring the PDF files to the Front, and the problem is solved. Something in those PDF files is screwing with the coordinates of everything drawn after them.
Ah well, if anyone else gets this kind of behavior, try this.
