1. Re: How can I get extra [SATA] storage space, the cheapest way?
John T Smith Oct 20, 2010 5:50 PM (in response to cjvieira)Does that mobo have an eSata connector on the back panel?
If yes, buy a regular Sata drive and an enclosure (with a fan!) that has eSata as well as, or instead of USB... and just connect it that way
Or buy a ready made eSata drive/enclosure

cjvieira Oct 21, 2010 4:20 AM (in response to John T Smith)Yes there's an e-SATA connector, but in case you didn't notice I've mensioned this mobo as part of an HTPC. As so, it's quite unpleasant to look and see an equipment of this kind with extra storage disc's outside.
So I'll rephrase the question: how can I get extra sata storage space inside the case, the cheapest way?
Is there any solution I've not seen yet?
Regards.

cjvieira Oct 21, 2010 5:06 AM (in response to moodygituk)For data transfer speed, an expasion card will be as fast as the internal SATA interfaces, or it will loose considerable speed?
