Evaluation Expired - Cannot get CFBuilder to run

I've been trying everything I can think of, but I just can't get CFBuilder to work

I just keep getting "Evaluation Expired" from the stand-alone installation

Or not working at all with a similar message for the eclipse plug-in.

I'm guessing that I screwed up when I installed and should have removed any old CFBuilder beta/pre-release installations.

But I didn't, and now I can't get the released CFBuilder to run

(and I'm in deep with a deadline for this week, I guess I need to fire-up my old Dreamweaver to get the job done)

The old license key/file/.. must still linger around somewhere. Does anyone know where, and if I can just delete it.

It seems a bit harsh to have to reinstall my machine to make this work, so there must (I hope and pray) be something I can do?

What I've done:

- [Plug-in] Installed the released CFBuilder ontop of an old existing CFBuilder installation

Result: Didn't work!

- [Plug-in] Uninstalled CFBuilder

- [Plug-in] Reinstalled the released CFBuilder

Result: DIdn't work

- [Plug-in] Uninstalled CFBuilder

- [Plug-in] Started with a fresh Eclipse installation

- [Plug-in] Installed CFBuilder

Result: Didn't work

- [Plug-in] Uninstalled CFBuilder

- [Stand-alone] Installed CFBuilder
Result: Didn't work

Which sucks!

I just got a new MBP, fresh install of everything on a brand new OS install and I still got the same issue

1. Installed Eclipse

2. Installed some plugins (Suclipse, GAE, ...)

3. Installed Flash Builder 4 as plugin (60 days trial)

4. Installed CFBuilder

And after restarting eclipse and trying something remotly related to CFBuilder I get the popup, stating that my eval license has expired, and there's no way to get out of this mode. I own 2 licenses of CFBuilder and I can't install any of them.

Very, very poor first impression of CFBuilder

I have sent you about how to resolve it.Please check and let me know if that resolves or not(please mail me).

This should have been the case with the selected pre-release customers who had received the test license key and did not deactivate before March 30th.

I get a similar message but I'm using Win XP so it's a little different. Notice the "Trial Version Expired" in the title of the window.

I too have the same problem. Installed 60 -day evaluation a long while back and expired. Uninstalled and installed again and when I fire it up it quits saying trial expired, not even a chance to enter the license key.

I was using the release build but 60 day trial. I now purchased the license.

Uninstalled the older version and reinstalled again.

As soon as i start CFBuilder, it says trial expired, without an option to

enter the license key. I am on a Mac.

Thanks,

Kalyan.

If you can send me the screen shot of the complete error window that you see, I can know what could have happened and so that I can help you accordingly.

By any chance were you pre-release customer?

Thanks,

Krishna

Hi Kalyan,

This is the beta build(2009 is there on the splash screen) and not the final release build(2010).Final release build is 271911.If you want to check the build go to plugins folder and check that atleast some jar/folders name ends with 271911.In your case you would see lesser number as you are using beta build.Probably you are on beta build: 263215

Please download the final released build from http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=coldfusion_builder.

Thanks,

Krishna
