    10.6.5 Printing Warning

Seems like a serious printing problem here. I have yet to have any  direct experience as I am still in the process of formulating my backup  strategy. With the problems I am hearing about 10.6.5 I will keep 10.6.4  on a live partition and put 10.6.5 on another, so no time gets lost  going back to 10.6.4 if need be.

Given that nobody has reporting that they are not having this problem with Adobe apps, this needs to be kept at the top as anyone in a production printing environment is going to be severally hampered by this bug.

This seems to be limited to Postscript printers. In my testing so far with landscape to the Fiery RIP driving a DocuColor 252, that if set 8.5 x 11 LEF in IDCS4 that it printed portrait, but if I set 8.5 x 11 SEF even though the driver is set for 8.5 x 11 LEF then it printed landscape correctly.

IN CS4 you need to choose 8.5 x 11 SEF but in CS5 you need to choose US Letter. Why there is different paper size options listed between CS4 and CS5 even though they are accessing the same PPD file is also strange.

On 11 x 17 Landscape loaded in the printer as SEF has no problem printing landscape with CS4 choosing 11 x 17 SEF or CS5 Tabloid. Again not the same paper choice available.

Aside from the sample here is small so the lack of "works OK here" posts doesn't mean a lot, there's no way to keep a thread at the top. We could make an announcement, but I think we need more confiramtion first, and, besides, nobody seems to read those....

We could title it something like "Test Post: Do Not Read!"

LOL.  That would be the only one they pay attention to the directions.
