Hello
I'm using RH 8. I'm using a lot of "Drop Down", but the problem is, after HTML compilation, that the Research fonction doesn't work on them (impossible to find a word in a drop down). It's a big problem for us !
Does anybody have a solution ?
Thanks

Hi there
I just tested this and the Search actually does find the terms I search for if they are hidden inside DHTML Drop-Downs.
Are you possibly instead, talking about the fact that the DHTML Drop-Downs where the term(s) appear are not expanded to reveal the term(s)?
Cheers... Rick

Hi Captiv8r, thanks for the answer.
Yes, the Research fonction find the correct page, but if the term I search is in a DHTML Drop-down, the DHTML Drop-down stay close. If the Drop-down contains a lot of text, or if there are severals Drop-down in the page, it's too difficult for the user to find the word.
There is a solution ?

In a Webhelp output, if the word is in a drop down, it's underlined (the dropdown stay close). But not in the CHM : the drop down stay close and the word is not underlined. In CHM, is it possible to have the same result as in the Webhelp output ?
Thanks

Hello again
Unfortunately I don't think this behavior can be changed. It's just not a feature supported in teh CHM format.
Cheers... Rick
