I just updated an older project to my current RoboHelp 8 version. The gif file I use for a bullet image is not being added to the Webhelp folder when I generate Webhelp.
The image is listed correctly in the css (list-style: url("Bullet 3.gif")) and in the RoboHelp list style (LI+ list style: url("Bullet 3.gif"). It also appears to have been added to the project's images when I look in the Images list in the Project Manager pod.
The bullet appears correctly on the Design page and when I click the eyeglasses preview icon.
I have tried re-adding the bullet to the images on the Image dialog box and re-adding it to the style by browsing for it in the Styles dialog box.
I suspect there may have been a problem in the previous version when the image was added not from the project folder but from a different folder, but the file is now in the project folder and I have browsed to it in that location everywhere I can think of in order to convince Robohelp of the file's current location.
Does anyone know how I can get RoboHelp to add this file to the Webhelp folder?
Thanks,
John
Hi there
Perhaps it will help if you try adding the Image to the list of Baggage files. Try right-clicking the Baggage Files folder (in the Project Manager Classic view) or the Project Files folder (in the newer Global view) and choose New > Baggage File. Then choose the image that seems to be missing.
Even if it's already there, it doesn't hurt anything to include it as Baggage.

If an image is not officially inserted in a topic (<img src="MyImage">), it will not be carried over to the output unless you add it to Baggage Files. Then, it will.
Good luck,
Leon
Ah, geez, Rick beat me by three minutes!

It's a crying shame that the Help for RoboHelp doesn't include rules like this.

Hi all
Realistically, my view is that RoboHelp actually dropped the ball on this.
Here's why:
If I've used RoboHelp correctly and specified an image using any of its dialogs to do so, I would fully expect for it to have my back and automagickally include the image in Baggage for me and not leave me hanging like that.
So I would encourage anyone experiencing this to report as a bug via the Bug Report. (link is in my sig)
Cheers... Rick

That's OK, you got some helpful answer points out of it.
Maybe you could explain why the body of the discussion box isn't expanding and allowing me to post any replies directly in the Adobe Web site today. )

On the problem of posting, if it happens again sometimes deleting the Adobe cookies fixes it or use another browser.

Thanks, I will try that. After I wrote that, I noticed the site was taking forever to connect & had built up something like a cache of connection tasks (listed in the bottom of the browser window). So I guess it was just slow. More patience would have done the trick.
