How to apply new Master Page to all topics?

Dear All:

I'm working with RH8 to create CHM file, HTML Help as primary layout.

I create this new Master Page, and want to apply it to all the topics within the project, which are apparantly quite a lot. And if i right click on each topic and choose "Topic Properties", and set the master page one by one, it would be painful.

So is it possible to apply the new Master Page to all the topics by one shot?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi PL

If you click View > Pods > Topic List you should see the pod Willam is referring to. And inside that pod you are able to press Ctrl+A to select all the topics. And that's certainly one valid way to associate the Master Page with multiple topics.

Here's another. If you examine the WebHelp Single Source Layout recipe you should see an option allowing you to associate a Master Page with all topics as the output is created.

Hi,

In the topics pod, select all topics (with Ctrl+A or something) and click 'Properties'. Select the masterpage you want to apply the masterpage to all topics at once.

Greet,

Willam

Hi Willam:

Thank you for your reply, but I dont think i can select all topics, either by Ctrl+A or Shift+Click or Ctrl+Click.

By "topics pod", you mean in the "Project Manager", under the "HTML Files(Topics)", right?

Did you try that operation? works for your project?

Thanks a lot.
