1. Re: Timecode burn in for dalies?
SteveHoeg Nov 30, 2010 4:32 PM (in response to Tayedrummer)Add clips to your timeline. Apply the timecode effect to the first clip, change source to media. Copy applied the timecode effect, multi-select remaining clips, paste.

Harm Millaard Dec 1, 2010 5:53 AM (in response to Tayedrummer)Alternative:
Add a transparent track to your timeline, drag it to cover your entire timeline length, add the timecode effect and you can export with or without timecode to your liking. It avoids 'burning' it in. Just turn on or off the visibility.

4. Re: Timecode burn in for dalies?
Tayedrummer Dec 1, 2010 6:43 AM (in response to Harm Millaard)Thanks Harm but I need the window burn to reference the original source media timecode. When I tried a transparent layer and adding the timecode effect to it, the timecode referenced the timeline or the length of the transparent clip.

5. Re: Timecode burn in for dalies?
SteveHoeg Dec 1, 2010 6:46 AM (in response to Harm Millaard)That would not work here - the 'media' timecode there would be relative to the transparent video instead of the underlying clips which is not what he wants here.

Colin Brougham Dec 1, 2010 7:08 AM (in response to Tayedrummer)One thing you can do is set up the effect once with the Timecode Source option set to "Media" (and other parameters you want to customize) and then save this as an effect preset. That way, you can easily apply these same settings in the future. I've got a bevy of different TC effect presets for different types of footage; makes setting up BITC a breeze.
