DesignCBTs Nov 30, 2010 1:43 PM (in response to Harm Millaard)THanks Harm,
I've been playing with settings for a while (reviewing the help files). Here's the problem, the dropdown box (in project settings/General/video rendering and Playback) for Mercury playback is grayed out. The only selection it displays is "Mercury Playback Engine Software only". I purchased this laptop to take advantage of the graphics hardware.

Dave Knarr Nov 30, 2010 5:34 PM (in response to DesignCBTs)Make sure you have at least 896 megs of ram for the video card.
Also, if you are having trouble with the hack, I wrote a small program that does it for you. You can find the program here:
http://www.studio1productions.com/Articles/PremiereCS5.htm
It is in the article for doing the unlock or hack. The program is free. Give it a try.

The cards for which this feature is officially provided and supported are listed here:

DesignCBTs Dec 3, 2010 12:07 AM (in response to Todd_Kopriva)Ah yes, I guess the "M" after my graphics card model number disqualifies it as "certified". Perhaps I'll consider the hack. Where is it found?
