Makes me think the 3.1 compiler is trying to compile that file. Check your

@Flex harUI: I checked the project settings and they're set to 4.1 for sure and the whole thing has been compiling with 4.1 for a couple of weeks with no problems (it was only today that I added the CSS and started getting the errors.
Would it be possible that there's a reference to 3.1 somewhere in the project's files that stayed behind when I switched to 4.1?
Make a new empty project and try adding a new CSS file there.
I also noted and forgot to mention that the mx namespace is incorrect. I
believe it should end in /mx instead of /halo. Are you sure you are running
on an official build?
I'm definitely running an official build. I just created a new CSS file and the code added to it is different than yesterday's:

Spoke too soon. No errors on creating the file, but they're back when I try to include it anywhere. I created a new project and added a CSS, just like I did on the old one; that one returns no errors when using the CSS.
It's the whitespace in the file. It really F's up my world.
For some reason, the styles.CSS file is very particular about formatting and spacing, etc.
On our mac books we cant even paste any text into that file, or it really gets bananas on us.
Try to clean up all whitespace and tighten up your file formatting.
