c.pfaffenbichler Dec 7, 2010 4:10 AM (in response to Mark A Goodwin)1) One can copy the Brushes in the application’s Presets > Brushes folder. They should subsequently be available in the Brush Presets Panel’s fly-out menu.
But one should nonetheless back them up (regularly).
And if you combine Brushes or create ones of your own don’t forget to save those, too (from the Preset Manager).
2) How did you load the fonts? Do you use any font management software other than Font Book?

Mark A Goodwin Dec 7, 2010 4:32 AM (in response to c.pfaffenbichler)Thanks for the reply.
I understand about saving the brushes in the Applications folder etc. But I was hoping I could save them on a different drive so as to build the collection without having too much information on the 'Applications' HD. I have a separate drive for the storage of data.
As for the fonts, I only use Font Book I have no other Font Apps.
Many Thanks
Mark

c.pfaffenbichler Dec 7, 2010 5:01 AM (in response to Mark A Goodwin)Well, you don’t have to store them in the Brushes folder.
Storing them wherever you should still be able to load them with Load Brushes.
You could try disabling the User-fonts in Font Book to see if that causes any problems.

Mark A Goodwin Dec 10, 2010 10:18 AM (in response to c.pfaffenbichler)Thanks for that. The brushes thing works great Inow have them stored on a separate drive with other dat only.
Not sure how to handle the brushes though. I try your suggestion of disabling the User fonts and see what happens
Many thanks for all you advice
Mark
