I am having trouble getting the next, back, and sync TOC buttons to be active between topics in a book. Also, the Sync TOC button does not show. Does anyone know how to set these up to function properly in the Table of Contents? Thanks.

Hi there

The Sync TOC button normally doesn't show unless you edit the WebHelp generation options and disable automatic synchronization of topics to the TOC. That's the default setting.

The Previous and Next buttons will only be active if you are displaying a topic that is part of a browse sequence. If you are on the first topic in the sequence, only the next button will be active. If you are on the last topic in the sequence, only the previous button will be active.

Hopefully this helped... Rick

Ok, so could you give me an example of when I would want to disable the default option? If I use it will it allow for more control or something? Thanks.
