Text tool-- paragraph box not showing up in CS5

      Hey all,

I have a long and bitter history of difficulties with understanding why the text tool ever does what it does. Right now I'm having problems when editing my text. When I click on my text layer (not rasterized), the usual "artistic bounding box" appears around the text-- the kind that will resize your text but treat it like an image, warp it, etc. I don't want to use that bounding box.

So, I click inside the text, where the cursor shows up. However, I don't see the usual "paragraph bounding box" that is suppose to appear here. You know, the box that you can resize if you want to wrap your text, etc? I don't understand where it went or why it would disappear.

I don't have any weird values in baseline shift or tracking or leading. They are all set to either "auto" or zero. I already tried resetting the text tool, which did nothing. I know you can press command while typing in the text tool, but that just brings up the "artistic" bounding box, which I don't want to use. I'm totally frustrated. I just want to wrap my stupid text, haha. Anyone know what the issue might be?

      Thanks a million.

Do you have »Show Transform Controls« checked in the Options Bar for the Move Tool?

No, not ecactly; how about posting a screenshot (with the camera icon).
