Problem with system font Lucida Grande after OSX Update 10.6.5
almstudioAT Dec 15, 2010 3:55 AMHi,
I'm really desperate, because I searched the forums and it seems, that I'm the only one, who has this problem:
Yesterday I installed the OSX update 10.6.5. Since then I'm getting errors by using the system font "Lucida Grande". I had a layout for a website with two text layers using the system font. If I want to open that file now, I got the message, that some text layers needs to be updated. If I click "update" I'm getting the error message:
"could not complete your request because of a program error"
If I create a new document, creating a text layer and want to use this system font I got this error message:
"could not complete your request because something prevented the text engine from being initialized"
I tried all the tipps at the adobe support page (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/843/cpsid_84363.html) with no success! I run the FontTest Script with this result:

There you can see, that the system font "Lucida Grande" is one of the fonts, causing the trouble.
But I can't delete or deactivate the font, 'cause it is a system font.
Anybody got an idea? Please help!!!! I need my work to be finished, and I can't access my photoshop-files with that error!
Thanx for any hint!
Greetings from Austria
Achim
