I'm using a Windows Vista with PSE 8 and an Epson R1800 Printer.
From Epson's website I downloaded and installed 4 groups of updated ICC profiles one each for glossy, matte, fine art and canvas. The installation was successful as I can see the new canvas profiles in the spool folder when I go through the computer's control panel. These canvas profiles did not come orininally with the printer so I know they're new.
Problem is, when I go to Photoshop and access the Epson printer driver there, the new profiles do not show up, only the original profiles. Just to be clear here is the route I took.
1. After installing the new profiles I rebooted the computer - opened PSE - loaded a picture - and clicked File > Print.
2. I selected the correct printer - Change Settings - Paper Type. The new ICC profiles do not appear there.
3. I than go to Advanced Settings and the new profiles don't appear in the drop down window there.
4. There is one way I can see the new profiles. I click the Advanced button - ICM - add a checkmark to Show all profiles - open the drop down window for Imput Profiles. In there I can see the new profiles, but tech support at Epson said PSE will not manage the colours if I do it this way. I should be able to see the new profiles in the same way I see the original profiles when selecting paper type.
If this is true, is there a way I can manually load the new profiles into a PSE? I tried this on another computer using CS and the same problem is occuring. The profiles are successfully installed, but not showing up in CS.
Thank you for your patience.
