Jeffrey_Smith Dec 17, 2010 9:57 AM (in response to ZenDao)Filling a picture frame with white was an issue with QuarkXpress many years ago. And, the issue was if a picture frame was filled with none, the application would create a low rez mask to be used for a dirty method of clipping an image, usually unintentionally.

cdflash Dec 17, 2010 11:35 PM (in response to ZenDao)agree 100% with jeff. was a problem with Quark Xpress 4.0 and lower when placing TIFF files with white backgrounds. the workaround was to put the picture into a white picture box.
AFAIK this has never been an issue in any version of indesign or its predecessor, pagemaker.
