its been months and i dont see any response to this. i have a situation where we cant re-encode the video content. it plays fine, but we are still getting this "this video is not optimized for mobile" message. please tell me there is a paramter i can pass to the embed tag to turn this off, its a horrible experience for our users.
this cannot happen in the player unfortunately, it can happen on the server
or you can pre-process all the videos from your desktop. you need to
download ffmpeg and qtfaststart for your desktop or server
the ffmpeg command i used is:
ffmpeg -i sourceFile -b 1200k convertedTempFile
you can change the bitrate from 1200k to anything you like
then execute this to prepare the video for iOS and Android mobile streaming:
qtfaststart convertedTempFile convertedFile
Michelangelo, Thank You!
I tried to download ffmpeg but there were three versions. One called "Love," another "Peace" and "Works with html."
Do you know which is the one? Also, once I download them, I can't find any exe to actualy run them. It is just a zip file.
Thanks so much for helping. I have been working on this for so long; a helping hand is like a ray of light at the end of the tunnel...
