1. Re: Time Stretch affects everything else on the timeline
Bill Hunt Dec 20, 2010 6:08 PM (in response to NotEnoughHours)If you are applying TimeStretch to the Video, Alt-click on just the Video. Now, TimeStretch, depending on what you are doing with it, will affect what comes after it.
If that is not what you want, can you post a screen-cap and tell me where I have gone off.
Thanks, and good luck,
Hunt

NotEnoughHours Dec 21, 2010 5:49 AM (in response to Bill Hunt)Hey Bill - alt-click doesn't work since I need to right click to get to the menu item for the the time stretch... all I want is essentially the same option as if I'm trimming a clip and choosing "clear", so I don't get the forced "close gap". Why must PE assume it knows what I want to do? There must be a way to switch this off - and if not, there ought to be imho :-(

3. Re: Time Stretch affects everything else on the timeline
Bill Hunt Dec 21, 2010 6:49 AM (in response to NotEnoughHours)Maybe I am confusing my programs here, PrE and PrPro, but isn't there also a TimeStretch Tool icon? If not, just forgive my ramblings, sometime it's difficult to keep my Adobe NLE's straight.
Now, you have Clips in the Timeline. You wish to apply TimeStretch to one of them, to either slow down, or speed up one Clip. What do you want the following Clips on the Timeline to do?
Also, you have muxed Audio with the Clip, to which you wish to apply TimeStretch. What do you want to happen with that Audio stream?
Maybe I am just missing something here.
Thanks for that info, and good luck,
Hunt

Bill Hunt Dec 21, 2010 7:25 AM (in response to NotEnoughHours)Wow, sometimes even a blind squirrel finds an acorn...
Glad that I took a chance on that icon. Just could not get it clear if I was only thinking of PrPro.
Good luck, and happy editing,
Hunt
