1. Re: Spellcheck panel appears when Acrobat 6.0 is launched
Bill@VT Dec 23, 2010 10:24 AM (in response to dcacrobat)The spellcheck is available for comments and form fields. Looks like you have a form and a JavaScript in the form may be activating the spellcheck. That is all I can think of. Normally, AA6 has F7 as the key for spellchecking. There is not a standard option for having it check on opening a PDF, but there is an option to spell check as you type. Maybe something is being imported to a field and that is interpreted as typing.

MichaelKazlow Dec 23, 2010 10:45 AM (in response to dcacrobat)It also appears you are running Acrobat 6 on an unsupported OS. While it may work fine for a while, you cannot be too surprised when it no longer works as expected. Unsupported can sometimes mean funky behavior.

George_Johnson Dec 23, 2010 11:07 AM (in response to MichaelKazlow)If you can't find out what's causing this and you don't need spell checking, then you can simply remove the spell check plug-in from Acrobat's plug-in folder. The file name of the plug-in is Spelling.api.
