Popups / User Prompts In Mobile Projects?

Is there a quick way prompt the user in mobile projects?  For example, if a user forgets to enter a field in a form before clicking the submit button.  I've reviewed some of the mobile project examples and noticed that it's usually handled in a separate view (the Employee Database comes to mind).  Is there a way to do it with a popup of some sort rather than pushing another view???
