Hyperlinks to remote topics from snippets do not work

Hi,

I'm using RoboHelp 7 to create HTM online helps.
To avoid duplicating text, I'm using snippets. Some of my snippets contain links to remote topics. These links do not work.
Is it possible to have these links work (for example, workarounds) or must I abandon the idea of using snippets in these cases?
Thanks for your help.

Are the links relative or absolute?

Hi Peter,

The links are relative.

So the Snippets are used in topics in folders at different levels to where the Snippet resides. That alone would likely break the link. Add on that the relative path from the help on the server will be different to the path when you look locally and hopefully my thinking about the cause is becoming clear.

I suspect if you made the link absolute or used different Snippets where the relative path is correct when the help is on the server, then the links will start working.

An absolute path would be the easiest.
