Hi there

Not directly. You will need to publish to F4V and use another application to convert that to MOV or AVI if that is your desired output.

I'm piggybacking onto this posting.

I'm using Captivate 3 in Windows XP.

I don't see where there is an option to publish as F4V. Is that not an option in CP3?

Thanks!

Hi there

Sadly it's true. That option appeared in version 5. Even Captivate 4 didn't have the option.

Your choices are to either upgrade Captivate or take your output and convert to a different format.

Cheers... Rick

Hi there,

Just to add to Rick's excellent suggestion, once in F4V format, you can use the Adobe Media Encoder application, which ships with Adobe Captivate 5 to convert your F4V into MOV or AVI format. See the screen shot below for more details.

Okay, I did that Media Encoder.  But when I publish the Captivate it adds the extension SWF. I try to add but get an "File format not supported" message.  Is there a prefernce to chance the publish output to F4V?  Can you direct me me? Thanks.
