Can't Link to a File

I'm having trouble linking to a file.

At the Hyperlink dialog box, I select File... from the Link To: drop-down, navigate to the file I want to link to, but when I click OK, nothing happens.

I think the cause of this problem is that I accidentally clicked the "Don't show this dialog box again" check box that normally appears during this process. The last time I saw this dialog box, I also accidentally clicked "Yes".

I guess my core question is, how do I undo the "Don't show this dialog box again" check box?

Thanks!

-Tom

Rick,

Thanks so much for the reply and the link to the website. Deleting the registry did the trick.

Hi Tom

Those "Don't show..." dialogs vary. Consequently, how to tell you exactly the steps to turn one back on will be a bit difficult if we aren't 100% sure exactly which dialog it was. However, all hope is not lost.

Roll up your sleeves and prepare for some Windows Registry editing!

Click here to visit fellow Adobe Community Expert Peter Grainge's site and scroll down until you see Tip 13. Follow the steps outlined there and if it doesn't fix your issue, come back and we'll do more digging. (I do have a few other tricks up my sleeve for this)

Sincerely... Rick
