1. Re: CS5 Encore, slideshow, only allowing 2 music tracks
ram8kumar Jan 4, 2011 7:42 AM (in response to h2ofun)Hi Dave,
This may be due to the different codec of the mp3 files you are using for your slideshow.
Encore allows same type of files to be used in the slideshow or timeline. The third file you are using may be having more number of audio channels than the first two or any other difference can be there.
Download a tool called Mediainfo from this location and you will be able to see the difference between the files;
http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en/Download
Thanks,
Ramesh.

h2ofun Jan 6, 2011 9:16 AM (in response to ram8kumar)What was interesting is even when I made 2 of the mono MP3 songs stereo, it still did
not work. When I converted them all to WAV files, then not an issue

5. Re: CS5 Encore, slideshow, only allowing 2 music tracks
Bill Hunt Jan 6, 2011 10:05 AM (in response to h2ofun)MP3's can be problematic, and for several different reasons. This ARTICLE goes into just a bit more detail.
As a standard workflow, I always convert all MP3's to PCM/WAV 48KHz 16-bit, and have had not issues. Some MP3's work fine, but certainly not all. I don't bother testing to see if some of mine will, or will not work, and just convert, but that is just me.
The best news is that you now have the Project working!
Good luck,
Hunt
