Currently I am developing a game similar to geometry wars for a school project. Right now the game loads the initial enemies fine by calling the function that creates the enemies at the beginning of the code. I have collisions and a score counter set up whenever the player shoots the enemies, that code works great at increasing the score and deleting the enemy. But what I need to figure out how to do is how to make an if statement that will check and see what the score is, and if the score is high enough, it will spawn more enemies. My problem is that I can only check for the score on the EnterFrame, but this causes the code to spawn an infinite amount of enemies. I need to find a way to only call the function to spawn the enemies once, but always be monitoring the score. If you can help that would be amazing!
if your enterframe loop when you check the score, check the number of still existing enemies. if below some number, create more. otherwise, don't
