1. Re: Can I save Audio Mixer settings with submix for future projects?
Bill Hunt Jan 13, 2011 7:25 AM (in response to BJBBJB1)Because Audio Mixer adds Track Keyframes, those will be unique to each Project. As for Effects added at the Track-level, I know of no way to Save a Preset, but might have just missed that. The Track Keyframe "automation" will not be something that could be Saved though.
Not sure how it could be implemented, but might be good fodder for a Feature Request?
Good luck,

JSS1138 Jan 13, 2011 10:27 AM (in response to BJBBJB1)You're best option is probably to create a project template with all the settings. Use that for the start of any new project, then do a Save As... before actually working in it.

Bill Hunt Jan 13, 2011 11:10 AM (in response to JSS1138)Jim,
I do exactly that for multi-disc Projects in Encore - set everything up, along with any known common Assets, then Save my Project to act as a template. First course of action is to do the Save_As, so that I do not overwrite my template.

4. Re: Can I save Audio Mixer settings with submix for future projects?
BJBBJB1 Jan 13, 2011 4:44 PM (in response to Bill Hunt)Thanks guys. I believe when you are saying save as a "template" you mean save as a project wtih everything deleted except my custom mixer settings and keep it saved. Then import new assets into that blank project. So not a template like a title template which is actually saved elsewhere in Ppro and useable as a template. I guess that is what I was looking for, like a true "audio template".
Bill, not worried about keyrames or custom mixes. Just all my mixes, submixes, center channel level, surround level, reverb, etc. etc.... to get my 5.1 sound.
I kind of like having my common titles and rolls setup as templates so I can just grab them for projects where I need them vs. to have them in my starting template for all.
Thanks again,
BJBBJB1

5. Re: Can I save Audio Mixer settings with submix for future projects?
Bill Hunt Jan 13, 2011 5:32 PM (in response to BJBBJB1)Yes, the concept of a "template" is not an official Adobe PrPro term here, but means a Project, that will be re-used in the future. Would possibly be a worthwhile Feature Request, though the end result and use is just fine with Save_As, or Save_As_a_Copy, depending on what one is doing, and what they want to happen.
Good luck,
Hunt
