    No templates in titler CS5

    jesskaat Newcomer

      Hi there!

Took the plunge last week. Still getting everything converted and set up, but so far so good. Except.....I just tried to access the templates for lower thirds and there are none. I've already installed the library content download. I've got my library in Encore.

      Any ideas?

          Thanks for the link.

Do, you think if I do this install again, they get in there? I've done this install already.

For anyone else who may have had the same problem......

When the adobe download is complete, an icon installer button and a folder "Adobe CS5" are written to the location specified.

The folder "Adobe CS5" has a sub folder called" Premiere Pro Family Content Installers"

Inside this folder are several other sub folders and PDFs:

Adobe Encore CS5 - contains yet more PDFs

Adobe Encore CS5 Functional Content - has a setup.exe to install that content

               Adobe OnLocation - more PDFs

            and finally.....

Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 Functional Content - has the setup.exe to install the content which I was missing.

If you just click on the icon install button - that gets written on download - ONLY the Encore content is installed. You have to locate the above folders and access the setup.exe manually for PP content in the Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 Functional Content folder.

Hope this clears things up for someone else.

            Best,

            Jessica

              Jessica,

Glad that you found the Functional Content. The reason that it is separate is that it does require some HDD real estate, and some users choose to not install it. This does limit things a bit, but one can still "create" much of what is included. However, for that little bit of real estate, I find it very useful to at least have the Templates on the machine, as one can use those as a basis for customization. This is for Titles and then in Encore, for Menus.

Good luck, and thanks for the details on how to install all of the Functional Content. The exact operation changes a bit, from installation from media vs installation from downloads.

I have the same problem, but I am running on a Mac Pro.  I don't have an .exe I can run.  Any ideas?

I did... that doesn't help me.  I don't get the following option for some unknown reason.

                      Click View Order History.

Look at the row with your order number and click Download.

On the download page, look at the row with the description for function content. For example, for CS5, look for “Adobe Premiere Pro CS5: Download contains additional ReadMe files plus content (menus, buttons, and backgrounds) for Adobe Encore CS5.”

                              OK, then uninstall everything

                              Run Cleaner Tool and reinstall.

                              Don't forget to deactivate.

IIRC the functional content for Encore is shown on the installation disk.

I haven't tried re-installing yet.  I've had some many projects, I just couldn't find the time.  It would be nice to have to the templates for my projects so that I don't have to create them.  Not that creating them is hard.

Yes, I can get to my Order History but I don't have anything listed.

No, I don't have a download button for the software.

No, I didn't download CS5 from Adobe.  I bought the media in the Adobe box.

I remember having to reinstall Encore to get the template for it.  I will have to give that a try on Premiere.
