P Spier Jan 17, 2011 5:06 PM (in response to Rodney2776)You mean like drop shadows? No.
And if you want to hear my rant about why this is the correct behavior, post back.

Stix Hart Jan 17, 2011 5:30 PM (in response to Rodney2776)What Peter said, minus the promise to rant .
If for example you have a logo where you need the effect to be consistent at different sizes, export a much bigger version than you'll ever need to PDF, then place that back in Indesign.

as2012 Jan 17, 2011 6:24 PM (in response to Rodney2776)Yes, you can scale most effects if you have 'adjust scaling percentage' set in your General prefs. This doesn't include drop shadow or gradient feather though.
As a workaround, check out the free LayoutZone plugin to export an area to InD file which you can then place and scale.

Mr. Andersson Sep 9, 2014 2:25 AM (in response to Rodney2776)It looks like this is finally fixed in InDesign CC 2014. The general setting "scale effects" in the top right corner is affecting drop shadows too now.
