I can't find my programs!

I have downloaded, installed, and registered my product. When I first got the programs I used Bridge and Photoshop a bit, and it worked fine. But now, I've gone to use them again, and I can't find the programs! Under "Adobe" on my start menu is just Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0 and Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0, which came as demos with my computer. I recently downloaded and installed (or maybe just tried to install-I don't remember) an update to include new Camera Raw files. I don't think this would have anything to do with anything, but it might be worth mentioning.

Which product did you download, install and register?

What operating system are you running?

Product: CS5 Design Standard
OS: Windows 7

I've also been having some trouble with the computer itself, and have done a number of diagnostic tests, so that might have something to do with it. Also, I can find the files involved in the programs: instructions and whatnot, as well as what I assume are subfiles that I don't pretend to understand and am not foolish enough to try to open. But there is nothing to click to run the programs.

Do a search for "photoshop.exe" and when you find it double-click on it and tell us what happens.

To search, click "Start" and then enter "photoshop.exe" in the search box.

Do not enter the double quotes.
