    Slow animation swf file

    cjacs987654 Community Member

I created a 5 second animation ion Adobe After Effects CS5 - exported to a swf file which is 50mb.

I have this inserted on a dreamvweaver cs5 html page. Running locally it is fine, but slow over the internet.

Should a 5 sec swf file be this big? - I know i should ask this in the flash forum but wondered if there is anything

i can do in dreamnwaver to speed up

      Thanks

I'm thinking the video was not encoded properly.  What are the dimensions, framerates, etc.?  Basically any more details you can give on the file the better.

Is it a movie or interactive?  What format is the original file, size, etc.?

            Hi

That problem solved. I exported to flv instead. I received a reply on after effects forum, AE exports to swf as a number of jpg files (no idea why) but when i changed to flv, the file size was 872k!!

New problem. Ive inserted the flv file now onto my html page, but when I press F12 to preview locally the flv does not show, no controls, nothing. I havent

uploaded to web yet obvoiusly as i cant get it going locally.

            Regards
