    Error Message

    Bingo888 Community Member

      Greeting,

I use CS3 and Windows XP, When I try to transfer HD clips from SxS Sony card (from camcorder PMW-Ex1R)

I get an error message "unsupported file or file damage" It is the first time I get such an error message.

I can see and hear the clips in the camera, I even tried to transfer it to iTune but w/o success.

Anybody have an idea for the reason?

      Thanks

Sounds like you are either missing the necessary CODEC, or that your full-paid version of PrPro has "reverted to the trial." Do you have the full compliment of possible Export Preset, or are all things MPEG now missing?

If they too are missing, you now have the trial version. The steps to correct that are:

          • Deactivate PrPro, if possible.
          • Uninstall PrPro.
          • Download and run Adobe Clean Script CS5 (yes, that IS the one you want, as it's the newest) several times, rebooting between each run.
          • Install PrPro CS4 and immediately do the last update, before launching the program.
          • Launch the program, and all should be back to normal.

          Good luck,

What exact version of Premiere Pro are you using?
