Creating a bookmark

Nothing happens when I click the Bookmark icon in the upper right or click Reading > Add Bookmark or press CTRL-B.

But the program ceases to respond to clicks after I click on Add Bookmark.

I have looked in both the Bookmarks pane and the Contents pane.

I am using an Admin account in XP Home
