5. Re: Cannot fill a rectangular shape with Color
Stix Hart Feb 19, 2011 12:52 PM (in response to Canned Pug)You haven't got 100% transparency applied to it? Then it might appear while scrolling because of a slightly delayed display. That's all I can think of at the moment...
The other thing to try if you suspect an individual document is playing up is to export it to inx or idml and open that. Then another thing is to try replacing your preferences.

6. Re: Cannot fill a rectangular shape with Color
Canned Pug Feb 19, 2011 12:56 PM (in response to Stix Hart)Good ideas. The ones I couldn't see I didn't notice the %. But all in all it was acting as a transparency, yes. Duh.
When I all of a sudden tried again and it was ok, the transparency was at 100% and I didn't do anything to change this. Dunno why but who cares?
Thanks for the other tips too..

You're aware that if you change something without a document open it becomes the default? Or if you change something like transparency while a document is open but nothing selected it then becomes the default for that document. Could be that?

Canned Pug Feb 19, 2011 1:18 PM (in response to Stix Hart)Not really sure...certainly something to consider. Photoshop and ID
are so deep, who knows it all? If we knew we'd have to kill them...

P Spier Feb 19, 2011 2:24 PM (in response to Canned Pug)It's also possible it's set to non-printing. If it shows in normal view, but not in Preview or Overprint Preview, that's a good bet. Slect it and schek the attributes panel, and the layer. If the layer name is listed in italics, the layer is set to non-printing.
