RoboHelp 9 compatible with RoboHelp 8?

Can anyone tell me if RH 9 is backward compatible with RH8? We are a training group, and plan to bring on a new person. We all have Technical Communication Suite 2, and it appears you can't buy that anymore. Plus, Captivate 5 is NOT backward compatible with Captivate 4. I am wondering about RoboHelp. Thanks.

It is not. You may be able to open the project by some of the old back door methods but they are too risky and likely to lead to tears.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your quick reply. I wonder if we can still buy Tech Comm Suite 2? We can't upgrade the other two in our group to 3 this fiscal year.

You might find a software vendor who still has a copy but you won't get if from Adobe.

Thanks. I was afraid of that. The problem is, who do you trust as a vendor? I don't know of any.
