First some info

Intranet Site
CF 7.01
Windows 2000
iis5

Works really well and fast.

Moved to a new server
Windows 2003
iis6

In IE the javascript menus take a couple of seconds to load
In FF the page is rendered with basically no load delay

Does anybody have any suggestions, experience with this problem.

I know some will say just use FF, but this is not possible.

If the problem is with JavaScript, then it's on the client side and your server setup really plays no part in the loading time. I'm assuming you mean JavaScript scripting and not an applet. When you say 'a couple of seconds to load', how are you measuring this? How do you know there is a delay in loading?

We had the same issue with large js files loading on our clients. We disabled script scanning in McAfee and it stopped the slow loading problem. How we found the bad process was open task manager and saw McAfee was maxing out our CPU when loading the pages.

Yes, it's JS Scripting (the menu we are using is HVMenu)

Visually, you can see the difference.

We don't use that but I will look into what we use.

But, this would still not explain why the same code loads instantly in FF but takes a couple of seconds to load in IE.
