Giorgio1957 Mar 12, 2011 7:36 AM (in response to D3S user)Hi,
-Have you installed your brand new suite with Admin rights?
-Do you run Adobe applications with admin rights?(right click on the icon\property\Compatibility\mark run as admin)
Let know
Hope this will help.

Powered by Design Mar 12, 2011 8:42 AM (in response to D3S user)Since you were running the Trial fine did you make sure to run the Clean Script before installing ?
http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs5clean.html
Maybe something from the trial is still there.

D3S user Mar 12, 2011 10:05 AM (in response to Powered by Design)Glenn Thanks,
I will try that now, and perhaps should have read more on the forums.
Most of my time has been spent learning the system and housekeeping perhaps should have been part of that learning.
Thanks!!!

Any other thoughts?

D3S user Mar 12, 2011 4:26 PM (in response to Powered by Design)Hi,
Uninstalled it all twice after the error showed up again.
The clean script reported all is well.
Still won't fire up the PP.
Is it possible I'll need to manually remove dead .reg?
Ran everything as administrator as well.

All I have to offer is - good luck, and keep us posted.

Bill Gehrke Mar 12, 2011 6:18 PM (in response to D3S user)Adobe provides free installtion help, call them Monday. Seems to me I have heard about having to run the cleanup script several times and of course rebooting between running the script.

11. Re: PP Worked fine in Trial Version, now has .dll error message
D3S user Mar 13, 2011 1:13 AM (in response to Bill Gehrke)Bill(s) and Giorgio,
I did another clean and uninstall. Followed all 'yall's suggestions.
I went into safe mode as well running clean and Adobe support.
Although it said there was nothing to clean, and the report gave the systems issue, the new download is working and even my build on Death Valley has showed up. Nice!
Adobe is a great platform, so say I.
Thanks for the encouragement.

12. Re: PP Worked fine in Trial Version, now has .dll error message
Giorgio1957 Mar 13, 2011 4:19 AM (in response to D3S user)Hi,
forgot to say that is almost important to switch off all your pc protections (antiviruses, spywares, adwares...), obviously disconnecting from internet to avoid problems with auto-updating applications.
Sometimes some antivirus sees some drivers/files as a positive infection.
What I've done in every Adobe installation is:
-Uninstall previous applications
-Run Adobe clean script twice
-Restart pc
-Install new ones (in admin rights)
-Set applications to be ran as Admin (as mentioned above: right click on the icon.....)
-Update every application that needs to
Do not jump any of these.
That's all
Ciao
Giorgio
