Anyone who knows (employee or beta tester) is not allowed to say... anything else is speculation
But, since Encore adheres to the OFFICIAL BluRay specification, I will "speculate" that nothing like you ask will be done until the official specification makes such a requirement for the hardware vendors of set top players

h2ofun Mar 19, 2011 3:24 PM (in response to John T Smith)I can play the AVCHD 60p via multiAVCHD on my Popcornhour set top box.
There are atleast 2 mfg's who BR players can play AVCHD files.
So, it is coming. All Adobe has to do is say they can also author AVCHD files. Since a guy for years has done the multiAVCHD, it cannot be that hard.

Stan Jones Mar 19, 2011 3:45 PM (in response to h2ofun)I'm not doing it, but I recall some feature (for CS5, not CS4?) that provided support for AVCHD files via Encore.
Is this it?

4. Re: AVCHD authoring
h2ofun Mar 19, 2011 4:07 PM (in response to Stan Jones)I can bridge from a 1920X1080p 59.94fps project in CS5 Pro into Encore as a 1920X1080P 29.97fps project, the highest BR spec, and it works just fine.
It just that ACVHD discs can be authored to play in computers, some BR players, and some settop boxes at full 1920X1080p 59.94fps material.
Oh well, it took years for the BR tools to catch up with my HDV material so I could make BR's out of it. May be a while before the same happens for the full
1080P stuff.
