1. Re: How to duplicate a layer with all its attributes ?
Rick Gerard Mar 20, 2011 7:39 AM (in response to ryan_khoo)Press Cmnd/Ctrl + D
or go to Edit>Duplicate
As you can see from the screenshot keyboard shortcuts are listed next to the command. This is really basic stuff. Maybe you should go through This Video from Adobe TV.

ryan_khoo Mar 29, 2011 7:50 AM (in response to Rick Gerard)Thanks Rick,
Going further, instead of duplicating the same layer, how to do copy the attributes from one layer onto another layer ?
Thanks again ..

Select the properties, copy, select the other layer, and paste.

4. Re: How to duplicate a layer with all its attributes ?
Dave LaRonde Mar 29, 2011 12:18 PM (in response to Todd_Kopriva)If you really and truly mean ALL attributes, you can duplicate the layer as described above, then use the Replace footage command. Highlight the layer to be replaced in the timeline, highlight the replacement footage in the project window, then Option-drag (alt-drag win) the replacement onto the target.
