Heeeellllp!!!!
Can anybody tell me how to use the Software Video camera in RoboHelp HTMLx5 installed on a Windows XP operating system.

I have changed the Software Video camera to run using 256 colours, so I can record, but the colour issue messes with the application I am trying to record from.

Any help gratefully received
Sean

Hi Sean

My personal preference is to totally avoid using Software Video Camera. It's way outdated and better options exist. For example, Captivate! Or if you don't want to or can't afford to buy it, there are some free or inexpensive options around. I'll post some links.

SnagIt has an AVI capture tool and costs less than $40 http://www.TechSmith.com
CamStudio is a free (open source application) http://sourceforge.net/projects/camstudio
Wink is a free application http://www.debugmode.com/wink
Screen Virtuoso is cheap, coming in at $19.95 at last check http://www.debugmode.com/wink
DemoCharge is fairly inexpensive at $49.95 http://www.democharge.com

Hopefully something here either helps directly or spawns a thought or discussion that does.

Sincerely... Rick
