Todd_Kopriva Mar 29, 2011 7:57 AM (in response to ryan_khoo)If you have a 1280x720 layer that you want to fill a 1920x1080 composition frame, you need to scale the layer to fit. Did you do that?

Do not change your composition settings to 1920x1080 to match FCP.Either render at the native 1280x720 and scale up in your FCP timeline,
or render your composite at 1920x1080, then import to FCP.I am not sure which route will yield the best quality.

Mylenium Mar 29, 2011 9:41 AM (in response to ryan_khoo)I agree with Todd, you probably simply need to fit it properly by nesting the smalelr comp inside the large comp, hitting Ctrl+Alt+F (or using Layer --> Transform --> Fit to Comp and then enable continuous rasterization to retain maximum quality of vector elements, text layers and shape layers that may be used...

Rick Gerard Mar 29, 2011 9:11 PM (in response to Mylenium)I'd scale up your template comps to full HD using the File>Scripts>Demo Palette script. You then select the comp you want to scale up and choose Scale Composition from the Demo Palette. Now you're footage matches the FCP project. You'll almost always end up with better results than dropping your Template in a higher rez comp, scaling the comp up, and then rendering it.
